## Understanding the Role: Electrical Technician
As an Electrical Technician at PTC, you will play a crucial role in maintaining operational excellence within refinery environments. Your daily responsibilities will directly impact the safety, reliability, and efficiency of critical electrical infrastructure.
Core Responsibilities and Duties
* System Operations: Execute seamless commissioning, start-up procedures, rigorous inspections, efficient troubleshooting, and comprehensive maintenance of electrical equipment and systems across refinery zones.
* Equipment Monitoring: Conduct thorough condition and functionality checks on diverse assets, including electric motors, electrical panels, Motor Control Centers (MCC), switchgear, transformers, cabling networks, lighting arrays, grounding systems, and auxiliary electrical apparatus.
* Maintenance Execution: Perform both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks strictly adhering to issued work orders, scheduled maintenance plans, and established operational instructions.
* Rapid Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical malfunctions swiftly, accurately, and with absolute adherence to safety protocols.
* Abnormality Reporting: Inspect operational areas, identify anomalies early, and provide actionable recommendations for corrective action to supervising engineers.
* Technical Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret Single Line Diagrams (SLD), complex wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and relevant technical documentation.
* Safety Compliance: Execute all duties in strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Permit to Work systems, Job Safety Analysis (JSA/JHA), and comprehensive Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) regulations.
* Documentation: Maintain meticulous records and documentation concerning completed work orders, operational findings, troubleshooting steps, and active equipment statuses.
## Candidate Qualifications and Requirements

* Nationality: Indonesian Citizen (Warga Negara Indonesia).
* Educational Background: Minimum high school diploma or vocational school graduate (SMA/SMK).
* Professional Experience: At least 3 years of proven hands-on experience in electrical equipment maintenance.
* Mechanical Competency: Practical knowledge regarding the coupling and uncoupling procedures for electric motor couplings and gearboxes.
* Technical Skills: Familiarity with specialized electrical measuring instruments and advanced methods for rapid, secure electrical troubleshooting.
* Blueprint Literacy: Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and explain Single Line Diagrams and electrical technical drawings.

* Location: Current domicile in Balikpapan and surrounding areas.
